In some organizations, personal details matter. SharePoint’s User Profile Service lets us capture all sort of interesting information about people in our organization, and you can decide to display it in unique ways to support your culture. In this session, we’ll take the simple example of displaying people who have a birthday today on the homepage so colleagues can easily celebrate. While not all organizations may want to display this data, it demonstrates some of the options we have for retrieving information by configuring search and then displaying that information in a customized way. We’ll look at how the SharePoint Search Schema and PnP Modern Search solution can support centralizing specific content in your environment.
